Cowboy Capital of the World PRCA Rodeo

The PRCA ProRodeo has been part of the Rodeo Heritage Week in the past. In 2020, the week featured other events like a BBQ cook-off, mutton busting, dummy roping, steer roping and barrel racing.

Riding on Faith Rodeo

Enjoy activities like miniature bull riding, break away roping, open barrels, mutton bustin' and bull riding. These rodeos are designed to "promote the Cowboy Way of Life." Visitors like the Bandera County Convention and Visitors Bureau's events because of the friendly, knowledgeable staff and fun, professional performances. The place these rodeos are held is small and intimate.
 

RRCF 5-minute Ranch Rodeo Challenge

Date: July 24
Time: 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Price: $10 per car

Hosted by the Ridin' the River Cowboy Fellowship, the five-minute Ranch Rodeo Challenge is a competition between four teams where youth must load trailers, mug and pen in under five minutes. Penning is where a team must work together to separate cattle into pens. Mugging is where a team ropes and ties down a steer or bullock by three of its legs.  

San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo

Dates: Feb. 10 to 27, 2022

In the past, this event has featured activities such as team roping, saddle bronc riding, bareback riding, mutton bustin' and more. The rodeo has a tournament format, so you'll see performers competing against each other.

Go to a family-friendly rodeo with the Tejas Rodeo Company. These rodeos could include bull riding, team roping, barrel racing, mutton bustin' and break away roping. This patriotic show is a wonderful way to have fun on the weekend.

While you wait for the rodeo to start, you can ride a mechanical bull or dance on a dance floor. Taste delicious, cold drinks at the outdoor bar, too.
